Built in 1850 the mill was originally known as Miller’s mill, and then later as Shannon’s Mill. In its prime it produced 4500 pounds of cornmeal, flour or grits daily, which was sold in area stores.

The 160-year-old grist mill is located in Clanton, Alabama, and was completely restored in 2015 by David Brogdon. The mill is being called the Yellowleaf Creek Mill, and marketed as a venue for events such as weddings and receptions.
