The Colorful Beach

(Dawn)

When nature gets her paint brushes out at dawn and starts painting the sunrise along the gulf, it is one the most amazing views to witness. The gulls and sandpipers began searching for their breakfast.

If you throw in a few clouds you can watch the grand entrance of the sun as it rises past them.

Soon the beach is lit is an amazing light.

I really enjoyed watching the pelicans. It became a huge joke during the week, because I never could photograph them. I would either have the wrong lens on my camera or they would be too close or too far away.  Several times they would fly by while we were sitting outside without my camera.

the imperial march

I’ve mentioned before that whenever I see sea gulls I think of the movie Finding Nemo. Well when I see pelicans flying in formation along the beach, I think of the Imperial March from Stars Wars. They remind me of an elite squadron of stormtroopers patrolling the beach for any fleeing rebels that might had been left behind.

The sunsets over the gulf are the only thing more beautiful than the sunrises.

One evening we drove out to Panama City. As we walked by the pier the sun was beginning to get low in the sky.  The birds had been gathered a top several fishing boats as some fishermen cleaned their catch.

Now with supper out of the way they appear to be ready to call it an evening.

  1. Awesome set of images, Phillip. So nicely done, man. The glass adds such a nice touch to that one and the Grand Entrance is simply stunning.

    1. Thank you so much Jimi. I just happened to see the glass and moved it into the scene because I thought that it would be interesting.

  2. Oh, I’m sorry. Being new to your blog, and viewing it today on a 7″ tablet, I didn’t realise I needed to scroll down. That previous comment of mine refers to just the first photo, then. I must now add that the series is stunning! Wonderful images! (I’ll be back, for sure…)
