Old Cahawba Park

Old Cahawba Park is an old ghost town located near Selma, Alabama. The town was once the site of the state’s first capital (1819-1826) and is located at the junction of the Cahaba and the Alabama Rivers.  This past week I join with fellow photographer Tony Triolo at the park and spent the day photographing some of the remaining buildings and sites inside of the old town.

Phillip…… Your pics turned out way better than mine for sure. Love the vintage look. I did stay over and visited the Old Depot and Old Live Oak Cemetery. The depot was closed but I loved the cemetery. The Spanish moss was amazing. I posted some images on my blog.

Thank you for the kind words Tony. I visited your site and saw your amazing images of the old cemetery. That Spanish Moss is so beautiful with the light shining from the back side. I really enjoyed the trip, we’ll have to do it again sometime.
