A View from the Music House

music house view

During the 70’s and 80’s the city of Muscle Shoals, Alabama became quite famous for having a very special sound that many popular musicians wanted. One of the studios that was located there is the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. They recorded artists such as Cher, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Dylan, and Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show to name a few.

The studio purchased a house located in Sheffield, which overlooked the Tennessee River. It became known as the Music House, and was made available to artists whenever they came to town. The house was later sold and today can be rented as a Bed and Breakfast through Air BnB.
